The Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) is a security system designed to improve ship security and combat piracy and/or terrorism against ships. The Ship Security Alert System (SSAS), which is widely recognized as part of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code), supports the International Marine Organization’s (IMO) efforts to improve maritime vessel security.
