Turkon Line Partners Locally to Open New India Trade Route

With this calculated expansion, Turkon Line hopes to create a robust logistics link between Turkey, India, and other countries. Turkon Line officially launched its India Service with a grand event at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. The event was in collaboration with Poseidon Shipping Agencies Pvt Ltd, part of the renowned Abrao Group. Over 250 key guests, including Turkish Consulate officials, customs authorities, media, and logistics industry leaders, were present.

The new service aims to strengthen trade connections between Turkey, India, and several global regions. Operating under the Turkey–Red Sea–India (TRI) route, the service connects Turkon Line’s broad network across the Americas, Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East with India’s growing economy.

Fast, Efficient, and Expanding Service Route

Launched in February 2025, the TRI route began with four vessels and is expected to grow to five by June 2025. It offers one of the fastest shipping routes between Turkey and India via the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. Indian ports include Nhava Sheva and Mundra, with rail links extending to major northern cities.

Green Growth: Eco-Friendly Vessels on the Horizon

Turkon Line’s India Service also supports its commitment to sustainability. Two new multi-fuel vessels, each with a capacity of 4,000 TEU, will be added in 2025. These eco-friendly ships, built at the group’s Sedef Shipyard, will increase overall fleet capacity by over 50%.

Marking a Major Step in Global Expansion

This launch represents a significant milestone in Turkon Line’s eastward expansion plan. Focusing on global connectivity and sustainability, the company is set to play a key role in boosting trade between Türkiye and India.
